Fossils | play>

The sea eats soil in transition
turbulent tides of transmission
my footprints leave an impression
pulled by the tides of recession

and I don't know if my footprints will hold
a record swept by the wind and the cold
until I found in a flake of shale
the frozen movements of a fossilized snail

tribes of earth in transition
by the scars of oppression
a single life leaves no impression
turbulent masses in recession

and I don't know if our memory will live on
in an empty space that carries no sound
no one to remember our songs
lost to the silence and the scorching sun
